We've had a brand new Circle-K and now 7-Eleven open up recently right next to the Nom Nom on the highway near our neighborhood. I questioned the need for more convenience store/service stations when they were being built, but turns out the 7-Eleven also offers EV charging which is a huge point in its favor. The new Circle-K does not unfortunately.

Frieren: Beyond Journey's End Season 1 was phenomenal. Who know that a slice-of-life fantasy adventure mashup could be such a brilliant examination of friendship, heroism, and mortality. Excited to do a rewatch with my younger daughters.

The Luca Williams-Barnett highlight reel from today's MK Dons preseason match were πŸ˜˜πŸ‘Œ. So much excellent line-breaking passing and ability with the ball at his feet.

Welcome to Wrexham S5 πŸ‘πŸ‘ was completely brilliant and I didn't realize how screwed Wrexham were by the Southhampton cheating decision, and the fact that Hull City, the team that nicked the last spot on the final day, went on to win the playoff and make the Premier League.

With the 1-0 victory for Spain, Pedro Porro keeps the 3 straight World Cup titles for Spurs players streak alive (obviously Romero would have counted if Argentina won, but he's halfway out the door already).

Not going to lie, Enzo Fernandez picking up a red car via a braindead second yellow was pretty enjoyable.

It's starting to pick up a little bit, but the half time show was a lot more entertaining and interesting (Madonna, R9, Ronaldinho. the Muppets, BTS, Ted Lasso and Coach Beard, and of course Shakira), than the first seventy minutes of this 0-0 World Cup Final.

FRA 4-6 ENG FT
Highly entertaining game. Saka gets a hat trick and Bellingham slams the door shut on France with a solo breakaway in the waning moments of the game.

FRA 0-4 ENG 45 +1'
Saka adds to the French misery when he latches onto an amazing through ball and puts it into the back of the net.

FRA 0-3 ENG 37'
Saka finished off an absolutely ridiculous sequence of chances and stops as Mike Maignan comes off his line to pressure the ball. Mbappe looks absolutely bemused by the turn of events this half.

FRA 0-2 ENG 19'
Konsa nods in a second goal off a corner to give England a two goal lead. Impressed with Tuchel's heavily rotated selection so far.

FRA 0-1 ENG 3'

Declan Rice intercepts in the midfield and scores easily with a bending shot from outside the box to the far post. Weird feel to the game early.

Hanging out at work waiting until it's time to pick up my tween daughter downtown. Ate some dinner, watched some Frieren: Beyond Journey's End and now I'm actually kind of sleepy. Time to gather my stuff up and get going.

Argentina comes back and scores two late to win after England parks the bus for the last 30 minutes.πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ

Anthony Gordon breaks through to give England a 1-0 lead in a pretty ugly game. Djed Spence just came up with a monster tackle in the box a few minutes later as well!

Have I mentioned how much I hate Midweek Magics featuring Momir? I think it took me 4 games to get mu first win. That said, CGB's Namor Blue II deck was a quick 3-0 in Ranked Constructed and I was able to knock out two Daily Quests simultaneously.

Pedro Porro just scored Spain's second goal (ESP 2-0 FRA) via a give and go in the box with Dani Olmos. Absolutely wild that he was left unmarked after he passed to Olmos!

Boimler and Mariner both getting cards in the Star Trek set is pretty promising, looks like characters from the whole franchise are going to show up.

The Seahawks just sold for $9.6B and originally cost Paul Allen $194M! Pretty incredible 50x return on investment there, and the profit is all going to his charitable foundation.

Silo S3E1: Who Are You? πŸ‘πŸ‘ Cool to finally start getting some near present day backstory, frustrating to see amnesia-induced Juliette get used as an unwitting pawn by Robert and Camille Sims.

The ending of Star City (πŸ‘πŸ‘) Season 1 was pretty epic, I hope the show did well enough to warrant a couple of more seasons.

Watched the first three episodes of The Rising of the Shield Hero season one and enjoyed them because of how stacked against the hero everything sees from the beginning and his sidekick demi-human, but I hear it really falls off in later seasons.

The Blue Box manga officially ended on chapter 250 today. It wasn't flawless, but it was still a pretty great high school sports romance, and having it exactly span the three years of Taiki Inomata's high school career was in fact perfect.

Senator Lindsay Graham dying suddenly at age 71 the same day Mitch McConnell finally offers proof that he's actually alive after weeks of speculation is a real turn of events.

Mario Saint-Supery opting to sign with a Spanish club out of the blue this week is brutal from a team-building and player replacement perspective this late in the summer.
